Pastor Patrick O'Neal
Franklin, N.C.


Pastor O’Neal was born in Philadelphia and lived in St. Louis for many years.  He graduated from Concordia University, St Paul, MN in 1998 and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO in 2002.  He is currently earning a Doctorate in Ministry at Portland Seminary in Oregon and hopes to graduate in the spring of 2018.

Ordained in 2004 he began his ministry as a full-time chaplain for Lutheran Senior Services in St Louis (2004-2012) and has been a Hospice Chaplain. 

In 2012 he began his congregational ministry at Mesquite Lutheran Church in Mesquite, NV.  During that time he served briefly as a part-time chaplain for Virgin Valley Hospice and volunteered as a hospital chapain for Mesa View Hospital.

Pastor O’Neal has a special interest in counseling, and dealing with dementia and the dying.  He is good with children and elders, personal witnessing, preaching and teaching and interacts well with the pre-school. 

Pastor O’Neal is married to Sara, a public elementary school teacher with a Double Masters.  The first is in Education and the second is in Digital Education.  She enjoys art and loves to sing.  They have two children, Miles and Sophia. 

Pastor O'Neal was Installed as Resurrection Lutheran Church's pastor on July 9th, 2017.
