The question was presented to me to answer the question of what a DFLM is. Well to start DFLM stands for Director of Family Life Ministry. A DLFM is someone who helps families to grow in their faith through a number of ways. One thing that a DFLM does is provide information to parents when they have life questions such as What am I supposed to do to get my child talk to me? A DFLM also can help parents with more serious issues such as cutting and self mutilation. A DLFM in a person that both parents and kids can go talk to for any number of reasons. A DFLM works in the church putting on programs that are designed to get families to become closer to one another both family to family but more so within each individual family. A DFLM’s primary mission is to strengthen the family so as to strengthen the church. A DFLM does things such as incorporate parents into things such as confirmation and other things that the youth are involved in at church. This is designed to bring both parents and youth closer together. A DFLM is also someone who can give information on many issues in “YOUTH CULTURE” from peer pressure to suicide and to questions such as where do babies come from and why can’t I have sex before I get married?. A DFLM is a behinds the scenes kind of person. They are a person who works not for credit or for glory but rather a DFLM is the kind of person who works of the betterment of God’s people and for the strengthening of his church. A DFLM is one who incorporates many things into the ministry. They are someone who works to get parents involved with their children in all aspects of life from school to church to home. A DFLM works to make the home the center of faith. If the parents set an example of faith in the home then the youth are at a far greater chance to follow in the faith than if they were in a home where there was no faith being modeled. The DFLM is a person who implements a Family centered Church supported system of faith. With the church supporting what the family does that make the family that much stronger because they have the full backing of the faith of the church. A DFLM is someone who you can go talk to who will listen however they are not a counselor. They are a called person employed by the church who is doing God’s work so as to strengthen the family and church.

I am working towards getting a community outreach program going with the church. I am working with the preschool more and more. I delivered the preschool chapel.
