The Big Picture

During 2010 Resurrection's members gathered for a discussion concerning the direction we believe God is leading us and decided to focus our attention is specific areas. Five Project Proposals have been identified as significant in conentrating our energy and activities of this congregation. More information will be provided regarding these projects in an special event Saturday, March 26th at church 10AM.

The Five Project Proposals are:
1 SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE GREAT BEGINNINGS PRE-SCHOOL STAFF, CHILDREN, AND THEIR FAMILIES.
Goal: To connect the members of this congregation to our school children and staff.
Suggested Tasks: Provide prayer partners for every child and staff member in our pre-school.

2.BUILD A COMMUNITY-BASED MINISTRY TO JUNIOR HIGH, HIGH SCHOOL, AND COLLEGE -AGE YOUTH IN FRANKLIN COMMUNITY.
Goal: To strengthen and equip young people of the congregation to live confident and obvious lives as followers of Jesus.
Suggested Tasks: Recognize and support our young people in thier lives of discipleship and to facilitate Christ centered activities among their peers and in the community.

3. CONNECT TO THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF OUR COMMUNITY
Goal: To support teachers and administrators and provide resources for children.
Suggested Tasks: Adopt a school, recruit prayer partners, back to school breakfast for teachers, tutoring aid, help with back to school supplies.

4. ENGAGE WITH THE AGING POPULATION AND SENIOR SERVICES
Goal: to offer stability and security for Seniors and care givers.
Suggested Tasks: help provide needed physical home improvements to those who cannot afford to make their homes safe or accessable.

5. ASSURE PUBLIC SERVANTS OF OUR APPRECIATION AND SUPPORT.
Goal: to surround public safety providers with prayer and support
Suggested Tasks: Adopt a Fire Station, Police, Sheriff, EMT person, etc. and solicite prayer requests and seek help for their needs.
